About us.

Nestled in the Eastern base of the Appalachian Mountains, May Tree Farm is located in Maysville, West Virginia. We are a family owned and operated agricultural business with Christmas trees, our principal product. When first established, the farm was owned and operated by Mr. Larry May and family. Mr. May prided himself in his work as a Christmas tree grower, and ultimately created a very successful business for him and his family.  

Sadly, in the year of 2014 in the month of January, Mr. Larry May passed away and left a legacy behind him. The farm soon was on the market for sale.

That same year, William and Michael Taylor of Petersburg purchased the farm just days before the Christmas sales season began. The Taylors were already experienced in the agricultural field, as they own the neighboring farm to May Tree Farm that runs commercial and Hereford cattle, along with poultry houses in Petersburg.

As Will and Michael continue to carry on Mr. May’s legacy, they hope to produce the best possible quality of Christmas trees in order to provide customers with a wonderful experience and product. You’ll find Michael and his wife Nancy, Will and wife Beth, and their daughter Callie and her husband Michael Dayton on the farm at any given time during choose and cut keeping things rolling. And yes, it can get confusing having two Michaels.
